ASSE 6000 Series – Refresher Course to NFPA 99-2021

The ASSE 6000 is a training course to highlight the changes on the NFPA 99 codes latest edition. The NFPA 99 is updated every three (3) years and ASSE 6000 series credentials must be renewed and recertified to the latest available NFPA 99 code. This course will review the changes in detail and provide an exam and certificate of completion. The ASSE 6000 refresher course will allow you to recertify any current ASSE 6005, 6010, 6020 or 6040 credentials with your current issuer.

Material covered during the training

NPFA 99 – 2021 HealthCare Facilities Code - New code updates from the previous release.

Current holders of the ASSE 6005, 6010, 6020 or 6040 credentials who are looking to learn about the latest revision of the NFPA 99 code and recertify their credentials to that code.
NOT Intended for persons trying to recertify their ASSE 6015, 6030, 6035, 6055 or 6060 certifications as they require different training and exam material.

Online training: Work at your own pace around your current work schedule. This course takes a minimum of 4 hours to complete.
- What to expect: There will be individual video modules (each approximately 45-75min long), that can be paused, and played over. However, we encourage you to complete each module uninterrupted. There are also online quizzes and a final exam.

Current holders of valid (not expired) ASSE 6005, 6010, 6020 or 6040 credentials

(For both In-person and Online Classes)

The student will need access to a computer with a stable internet connection with the ability to stream videos and take exams online uninterrupted.
The student is required to have a current copy of the NFPA 99-2021 edition which is not included. It is not included and can be purchased from the NFPA website

(The exam is online, computer and internet access are required.)

A minimum of 25 randomized, multiple-choice questions
Minimum passing grade of 70%
Time limit of 3/4 hours (45 minutes) to complete the exam
Maximum of 3 attempts to pass. If you do not pass after 3 attempts, you will be required to take and pay for the full course again
Open Book exam

If your credentials are with BeaconMedaes then your specific credentials will be renewed for 3 years. If your credentials are with another authority then you will be provided a PDF certificate showing completion that you can take to your current credential provider as proof of completion.
